Khabour in a Thousand Words
May 18, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
In a matter of few hours, in one moonless night on Feb 23rd 2015, the Khabour Valley transformed from a vibrant 12,000-strong community to an abandoned string of ghost towns. The story of the khabour valley in Syria is a crucial piece in understanding the Assyrian modern history. This collection of photographs shows the ISIS-inflicted devastation of the Khabour villages in Syria to both document the atrocities, and incite action.
