Sveenie Betsargis-Richmond is a classical music composer who has devoted herself to music, writing songs, singing, and playing the piano since an early age. In 2009, she moved to the United States with her family from Tehran, Iran and has been living in Turlock, California ever since. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition, Summa Cum Laude, from Stanislaus State University, and she received her Master of Music degree in Composition from Sacramento State University.

Sveenie is a passionate music and piano teacher, a worship leader and pianist at her home church–Turlock Assyrian Assembly of God, and the Children’s Choir coordinator at the Assyrian Arts Institute (AAI). She is a proud Assyrian, and some of her compositions are inspired by her culture and history. She desires to share her love for music with the people of her community and seeks to glorify God with her gift of music.
